Bayyari Elementary School (Springdale School District) – Success Story

2019-2020  Bayyari Elementary School utilized ISEP grant funds to purchase materials and supplies to continue to grow their school/community garden.

2018 - 2019  Bayyari Elementary School utilized ISEP funds to purchase items to remodel a safe and sustainable high tunnel structure for students to learn and grow in.

Funds were also utilized to buy tools and maintenance supplies for another garden, a 28 raised bed community garden.

All 652 students visited the garden at a minimum of three times for lessons. In addition, Bayyari hosted a 10 week after school garden club for 80 students. Each student finished the ten week program having tried (and being able to recognize) a new fruit or vegetable.
