Jasper School District – Success Story

The Jasper school district utilized ISEP funds to purchase an oxygen pulse oximeter, which allows the nurse to quickly and efficiently evaluate the pulse and oxygen level of a patient.  The closest hospital in 40 minutes away from the district.

The oxygen pulse oximeter in the student health office has allowed the nurse to rapidly collect important assessment data on students and staff who came into the office with complaints of shortness of breath, chest pain, and dizziness, ensuring that accurate and educated decisions related to quality care was provided.
