Omaha School District – Success Story

The Omaha Elementary School utilized ISEP funds to implement the Drums Alive program for their students. The Drums Alive program was added to the School Improvement Plan for the Health and Wellness goal.

Students performed the Drums Alive program during a K-6 assembly. The physical education teacher noted that students’ coordination over the few months of implementation showed improvement. The music teacher was able to start the band program again in the district with many students interested in playing the drums.
